Returns & Exchanges
A Note About Our Process
Because each KIMA piece is handcrafted in my Oakland studio, many items are made to order specifically for you. This means that when you place an order, we are often creating your piece from scratch or sizing it just for you. Please read the product description carefully before ordering—it will tell you whether your piece is ready to ship or made to order.
What Can Be Returned
I want you to love what you receive. If a ready-to-ship piece isn't quite right, you can return it within 7 days of delivery for a refund, as long as it's unworn and in its original condition.
Here's how it works:
- Ready-to-ship items in new, unworn condition are eligible for return
- You'll receive a full refund less shipping costs
- We'll provide you with an insured return shipping label
- Items must be returned within 7 days of delivery
- Store credit is also available if you prefer
What Cannot Be Returned
Because of the custom nature of our work, some pieces are final sale:
- Custom and bespoke pieces designed specifically for you
- Made-to-order items (including most rings, which are cast in your size)
- Resized pieces that have been altered after purchase
- Engraved items
If you're unsure whether your piece is made to order, please check the product page or reach out before ordering—we are always happy to clarify.
How to Initiate a Return
If you need to return an eligible item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. We'll send you return instructions with an insured shipping label and process your refund or store credit once we receive the piece back in good condition.
Exchanges & Sizing Issues
If you have concerns about sizing or fit, please contact us before returning anything. Depending on the piece, we may be able to resize it for you (there may be an additional cost for this service). We are here to help make sure you end up with something you'll love to wear.
Damaged or Defective Items
In the rare event that your piece arrives damaged or has a defect, please contact us immediately at hello@kimajewelry.com with photos. We stand behind our work and will make it right.
Questions?
We know buying jewelry online—especially pieces that are handmade to order—can feel uncertain. If you have any questions about returns, sizing, or whether a specific piece is right for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. We'd much rather answer questions up front than have you be unhappy with your purchase.
